Financial Assistance & Funding Programs

The following pages include hundreds of possible funding, technical assistance and educational resources for landowners and organizations. Resources are organized into sections. Click the links provided to go directly to the pages of interest to you.

Many funding sources change their programs frequently. Given this, the information provided on this website may not be the most current information available. Always check with the funder for the most current guidelines and deadlines.

Government Technical Assistance Programs

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission private lands biologists and stream team coordinators as well as NRCS district conservationists and Arkansas Forestry Commission county foresters provide free technical assistance to landowners to:

  • evaluate your land and goals
  • prioritize habitat needs
  • develop a plan

help you maximize cost share, combining programs where possible, so you can implement appropriate practices

Other Technical Assistance

The University of Arkansas, Division of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service has agents in every county and specialists in many locations across the state. County agents have broad knowledge of all resources in the community and can provide educational workshops or one-on-one assistance. They have the support of extension specialists and researchers throughout the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) certifies third-party technical assistance providers.

Arkansas Forestry Commission has individuals who provide urban forestry assistance.

Wildlife Biologists: The Arkansas Forestry Commission searchable database includes a list of consulting wildlife biologists. To find wildlife biologists, use the criteria in the diagram below.

Consulting Foresters: The Arkansas Forestry Commission maintains a searchable database of consulting foresters forest stewardship, planning, wildlife management, etc.

Forestry Vendors: The Arkansas Forestry Commission maintains a searchable database of vendors providing all kinds of equipment and services to forest landowners, including prescribed burning, wildlife food plots, tree planting and thinning, etc.

AFC Tree Seedlings: The Arkansas Forestry Commission sells tree seedlings for reforestation
